22 x 14.5 cm, 2,395 pages. The Sion Library copy, with a single ink stamp applied to the back of the title page. Clean internally, but the back cover detached and with it the last few pages, a couple of pages before these rather loose. Two gatherings standing rather proud when the book is closed. The binding of this extremely thick book (about 16cm) is rather dry and tight, so that the book +requires careful handling.
PUBLISHER'S PROOF. 8vo. 1020 pages. Bound in the publisher's printed paper wrappers. A few handwritten corrections to the introduction. Page numbers in the notes and the Index to 'Cowper's Circle' not inserted. Printed on much thicker paper than the published copies producing a book 10 cm thick.
Limited edition of 1,000 copies. 4to. (25x18.5cm), xxxvi+608 pages+ 80 pages of illustrations. Slight browning to the half title and title pages and to the edges of the pages when the book is closed. Slight marking to the endpapers.

8vo. (cm), xxiv+422+(4) pages with 12 plates. Slight browning and very slight creasing to a few pages and half a dozen pages with a few small patches of foxing, in no way affecting legibility. Bound in the original binding, grey paper covering the boards and a tan cloth spine with the title etc. in black. Slight wear to the corners, but in very good .condition. £75

A good clean copy internally, the title page slightly foxed, Two library bookplates inside the front cover, a ‘Withdrawn’ stamp on the front end paper and a small rubber stamp on the back of the title page. The front end paper split on the hinge, but the board firmly attached. Bound in purple cloth, the spine faded and a piece of cloth missing from the head of the spine. The title etc. in gilt on the spine and a library label at the base of the spine.

4to. (29x23cm) (8)+ 48+46+34+50 pages. A good clean, tight copy. Ex-library with a blind stamp on the title page, and bookplate and rubber stamp on the endpaper. In the publisher’s brown cloth binding with the title etc. in gilt on the spine, two paper labels at the base of the spine.
London, for private circulation, 1910. Small 8vo. (14.5x10.5cm), (ii)+xiv+206+(ii) pages, 12 illustrations. Generally very clean, but a crease to the blank corner of the last illustration. Bound in the original gray paper cover, worn on the spine and split for approximately 5cm along the front hinge. Very light marking on the fore-edge of the book penetrating as very small patches of foxing on the blank margins of a few leaves.
