A good clean copy internally, the title page slightly foxed, Two library bookplates inside the front cover, a ‘Withdrawn’ stamp on the front end paper and a small rubber stamp on the back of the title page. The front end paper split on the hinge, but the board firmly attached. Bound in purple cloth, the spine faded and a piece of cloth missing from the head of the spine. London, for private circulation, 1910. Small 8vo. (14.5x10.5cm), (ii)+xiv+206+(ii) pages, 12 illustrations. Generally very clean, but a crease to the blank corner of the last illustration. Bound in the original gray paper cover, worn on the spine and split for approximately 5cm along the front hinge. Very light marking on the fore-edge of the book penetrating as very small patches of foxing on the blank margins of a few leaves.

In the publisher ’ s black cloth binding, decorated in red, the title in gilt on the spine, generally in fine condition, apart from slight bumping at the top of the spine and a small dent in the bottom edge of the front board.
